Megan Beaton
COACH
Bio
Megan has casually pursued all kinds of sports over the years, and these days you will find her trail running, and playing the occasional tennis match, but her real passion is mountain biking. She has been a member of CrossFit Revelstoke since 2019, completed her Level 1 and began coaching in 2022, and earned her Level 2 in February 2026.
What drew her to CrossFit were the challenging workouts. What keeps her here is the technical side of the sport - there is always something to refine - and a community that genuinely celebrates each other's progress. CrossFit constantly challenges her, while also supporting everything she enjoys outside the gym. She's found that staying consistent in the gym translates to more strength, more capacity, and more fun in all her other activities.
After suffering a disc herniation, Megan took some time away from training and honestly wasn't sure she'd get back to lifting heavier weights again. With skilled guidance, patience, and a gradual rebuild, she was able to return to strength, and came away with a much better understanding of movement, recovery, and resilience. That experience continues to shape how she coaches today.
As a coach, Megan focuses on quality movement, adaptability, and helping people build trust in what their bodies can do. She loves helping athletes refine skills, get stronger, and feel more confident and capable in their training
Outside of the gym, Megan is a Registered Massage Therapist and the owner of Ludica Movement Therapy here in Revelstoke. She also teaches Pilates - both small group classes and more clinical, rehab-focused sessions - so a lot of her work, both in and out of the gym, is centred around helping people move well, build strength, and feel more confident in their bodies.
