Kenzie Wade
COACH
Bio
Kenzie started CrossFit in Whistler in 2010 as cross-training for downhill mountain bike racing, but it quickly became her main focus. She moved on to train at Squamish Barbell in 2013, where she became even more dedicated, dabbled on the competition team, and even completed a WOD on the hour every hour for 24 hours as a fundraiser. Life eventually pulled her away: back to school three times, earning degrees in Outdoor Recreation, Massage Therapy, and Acupuncture, and along the way landing in communities without a box. She now owns and runs Fireweed Wellness, her acupuncture and massage therapy practice here in Revelstoke, bringing a unique perspective to coaching that goes well beyond the barbell.
Kenzie is returning to CrossFit after some time away and couldn't be more excited to finally step into the coaching role she has been curious about since the very beginning. She believes movement is for every body and loves that CrossFit brings people together the way it does. The community is truly something special - a welcoming extended family that shows up for each other and makes every class feel like home. Powerlifting is her wheelhouse, and when she's not in the gym you'll find her on the trails, the bike, the water, or the ice. She's also slowly but surely learning Mandarin.
